I think it could still drop down quite a bit more without having taken out any major levels or breaching the main uptrend lines. We are only 20 SPX points away from the half way back retracement of the last big push up.

Why not proportional to volatility, out of interest? I always trade the smallest size available on the NQ until I reach 1000% ROI and only then double size. When I have tried to scale into positions in the past I end up turning a winner into a loser or adding to positions that are losing etc...

Total opposite for me, which doesn't make any sense at all. 2021/22 paid off my mortgage and then some, going both long and short. I need to figure out what stopped working since then.

I've pretty much only been going long really and mostly getting stopped out every time. Caught almost all the bottoms of the big Vs we keep seeing several times, built 20% fat across the accounts after going negative shortly, but now back to break even for the year.

I feel like unless I capture the exact point of any reversal, its impossible for me to get back into the trend without getting whipsawed out, and that goes for either direction these days. If I try and go short now, I bet the market goes full V on me.

How? I have been trying to trade higher time frames like you do, started off really strong but hit a rut recently, so its great to get peoples views.

I've been trying to catch a swing long for a few weeks now, and skynet keeps stopping me out and reversing. Today I went back to no stop loss and was up quite a bit and now its tanked again.
