Hey Dollar Hegemony, You seem to have a strong opinion on corporate life and how it works, and what you feel is understandable. Escaping corporate life is usually one of the reasons why most people enter trading. They have visions of creating their own path. Sure, there are many levels of...

Thanks everyone! Wow, I have to comment that I'm pretty overwhelmed by the level of geunine support that exists on this board. The helpful advices, suggestions, and remarks that many of you have shared are rare, but they prove that good people do hang around in this unique community...

Break out the champagne. I got a job. I'm not sure if I will take it though. Nonetheless, it feels very good to recieve an offer, but I'm actually getting crazy ideas that perhaps I can aim for something higher.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm already in the stages of configuring my resume and testing it out. I'm ready for an entry job, but I want to do it in a field that has career growth potential. And I know I have to market myself in a different manner, so one thing I decided to do was to...

NihabaAshi, man, really, why are you so full of yourself? You love to spill your ego into like every thread that didn't ask for it. Is that ego there to compensate something? So how long have you traded? Have you succesfully been making money for ten plus years, and are you ready to retire...

Well, HispaTrader, you seem to have figured this thing out pretty well. What do you plan to do when your strategies based on Market Profile and Auction Market Theory stop working? Do you think UVA and LVA will always be reliable? Do you trust POC is that important? Do you think you've...

FuriousInvestor, my biggest failure was my inability to keep on finding systems to keep up with the market. Strategies don't last forever. If you have good methods right now, savor them, enjoy them, and don't take them for granted. Oh, things like money management, discipline, etc. really...

newguy, Well, you obviously have much higher exposure to competitive tennis than I, but I just used that sport as an example. But my point was really just that in most activities, if you try hard, stay committed, put your work into it, you're pretty much going to see productive results or...

    Another one hangs it up

Hey newguy, even though the success rate of becoming a successful tennis pro is slimmer than becoming a perenial successful trader (not talking about having a streak of a couple months, or quarters, or even years, but talking about being so consistent at it that one is actually able to retire...

Nice post, goldenarm. Yeah, there's just so much illusion in this industry. It's a tough game. I think sometimes we all naturally become so focused at chasing a dream that we simply forget to even think about the basics, like if it's even a realistic dream to pursue in the first place...

Thanks roberk. I wish there was a button to ban certain trolls who can't enter this thread because they don't deserve any information. These trolls just love to start their usual piss-fest and ruin the mood for anyone to share any more.

Quite true, Spydertrader. It's so sad that some trolls have to come in here, start childish fights with other posters for no reason, and simply ruin threads for their own pleasure. It was never my intention to have this thread become any kind of piss-fest. A personal and very humble story...

What kind of internet businesses? Like selling stuff on Ebay? Sounds interesting, but if things don't work out, I don't want to be back in this predicament again. I really need to build a meatier resume with real work! I suspect, like trading, an entrepreneurial internet business venture might...

Thanks Copa. Yeah, it is kinda hard seeing friends becoming managers when I'm probably about to only start an entry-level. But it's better to be late than never, right? I just wish I had been more realistic and thought it through more earlier.
