Don's openings and more for 2005

--------------------------------- Yea, That busted opening trade on TXN sucked but I lucked out on it just the same since I 'covered' the busted short at the days low price, so when they busted the opening short trade I ended up being long and was able to sell at a nice profit.

Don's openings and more for 2005

Big day in terms of # of trades and volume, however one stock alone, JCI, turned it into a loss as it gapped over 55 cents from the opening. On average recently have been getting about 4 fills, today had 15. -$337 on 18400 shares

Don's openings and more for 2005

------------------- Once again I repeat, do you know what this forum is for? It is for opening orders and if you had been following the opening order strategy you would have been short KRY yesterday, not long as it opened up, not down. You may have missed the first 177 pages but did why...

Don's openings and more for 2005

Do you even know what this forum is about? I really doubt that you do. If you are dong the OO strategy why are you doing it on a penny stock? In order for you to make $1840 on the opening on KRY you would have had to short 18000 shares and cover at the absolute low and the volume doesn't even...

    Echotrade

I've been with them 3 years now and am very happy. Good support, accurate. Just like anyone else they do have an occasional problem but they are quick to take care of it. I love the predator pro software they have for opening orders and envelopes during the day. Also, having a health...

Don's openings and more for 2005

-------------------------------------------------------- I thought it looked like a weird opening also. I am thinking it may have had to do with the fair market value rolling over to December, that is the only thing I can think of. 9 fills, 7 shorts. 8 winners. +1114 Like Chiguy, I also...

Don's openings and more for 2005

Just my personal way of trading the opens but I read the news on all my stocks, and look at premarket trading activity on them to get an idea on what the bias is in them. I cancel out any orders with earnings news and adjust my orders for upgrade/downgrade news and premarket trading prices...

Don's openings and more for 2005

Not a bad day. 15 fills. All short. But a perfect classic opening. Only 1 loser and 1 break even. +3010 on 18300 shares. Looked at some theoretical #s if I didn't get stopped out on pullbacks and could have potentially made another $3350 if I could have closed out at the theoretical lows...

Don's openings and more for 2005

Finally, a really consistent week of positive opening results. Today was my best day in awhile. 10 fills, 5 long 5 short 8 winners, 2 losers, +1382, 75% of my gains came in 2 stocks. Time to hit the poker room.

Hey Don, Will the new trade through rules have any effect on either opening orders or envelopes during the day? Also, any new info on Nasdaq opening orders? Thanks

    Cybertrader

I use to have my IRA accounts at Schwab, transferred them to Cybertrader because of their pattern daytrading restrictions that they slapped on all my accounts. Transferred to their Cybertrader division. After 5 months they just slapped a trading restriction on my IRA accounts at Cybertrader...

Can i SUE a Brokerage for refusing me because of my citizenship?

The reason for not accepting a citizen of a foreign country can be because of a couple of things. In most cases it is because the two countries may not have tax treaties with each other. I believe this is the case with Iran. You can sue, but you'd lose.

    Tasr

Puts are definently about the only possible way to play the short side. Personally I would hold off until the split though to buy some. Wait and see if it continues to run post split but be ready to pull the trigger fast because when this bubble pops it will be a loud bang.

    TASR options

Put premium didnt drop much and calls ran up good. Made an nice profit for a one week position. Could have stuck around longer but decided to take a profit. May re-enter if this thing shows any weakness. Taking a look at throwing some risk capital at some April 100 calls.
