U.K.s homeless are spoiled brats. Watch this interview about this homeless guy who complains that people buy him food that he doesn't want. That people are "forcing" food upon him and he's in tears because he wants money instead.

Dunno about this, the boy is over the top and the interviewer doesn´t help by pushing him, but it makes sense in Europe even homeless people don´t need to worry about getting enough food, one might hope with all the taxes paid and the money around this most basic need would be fulfilled no matter how much a man is in a mess.
Having said that I usually give to buskers if I watch their show even a couple of mns but hardly ever to beggars.

Humans have survived much worse during the course of planetary history. 1rst world Nations will get a chance to see how the third world lives. Food bartering will occur which is difficult to tax.

We buy them food cause if you give them cash which they want, they'll just blow it on drugs, simples.

OMG, if people can't drive 100metres to the shops and buy what ever they want, they will literally kill themselves on mass OMG.

This might just be a hope, toughening up people or letting them opt out ( Bleach ), if there unwilling to, works for me.

My vote is on Covid passing mostly unnoticed and unmentioned in developing countries, notwithstanding the panic in rarefied elite bubbles. Abject poverty, appalling squalor, and disease are routine facts of life in India and Africa - something which kills 1 out of 5,000 under-50s it infects just isn't going to leave a mark.

I watched a footage on PBS News Hour last night on how a poor African nation, Uganda, handled the covid-19. PBS said they were able to get things quickly under control because they had tons of experiences with epidemics, Ebola, malaria, yellow fever... you name it they had it in the past.

So the third world handles this pandemic much better than the first world. There will be problems but they know how to deal with epidemic adversities a lot better than us. We have much to learn.

No testing, no problem. Most countries in the world are straight up lying about the numbers.
