Don't be too sure on that one. The last time I checked there were those advocating that the phrase "Under God" in the pledge was too offensive. Then we were to understand that someone somewhere was offended that "In God We Trust" was on the currency. Maybe the forward thinking you speak of is focused somewhere else, for the moment!
