why is the PATS SYSTEMS data connection bad?

I don't ever have disconnects with it. Pats is just the software. Reliability depends on your brokers Hardware and your brokers' servers.

Pats is terrible for the most part. They have not updated their servers fast enough. The only Pats fee ive ever used that had no problems were through Man Financial

What exchanges are you trading? for US futures markets, IQFeed works well (can be used with Medved QuoteTracker and other software)

use pats thr ghco.
ghco is very stable.
