Why is nasdaq e-mini so "jumpy" today?

I don't think anyone believes that those phenomena are not intended by globex.
 
If you look at the magnitude of the problem in terms of service delivery vs. dollars at risk, the CME/Globex has one of the worst track records of all online systems. Imagine if the backend systems to ATM's (banks, not networks) or credit card systems had the same frequency of problems that Globex has had, the average customer would be outraged, and those dollars pale in comparison to the amount at risk on Globex.

I hope they hire some damn good technologists with all that IPO money...
