What to tell family/friends?

What do you tell family and friends when they ask you to teach them how to trade?

thats what i tell people who want advice

everytime one of my friends asks me to teach them i tell them just read these books(like 1 or 2) then come talk to me so you have some understanding of what i'm gonna show you.....thats where it ends :eek:

same here-- i tell them to buy the spy and don;'t look back. i never give stock advice for trading -- that's just too loaded.

If anyone asked me to show them how I trade, I would gladly do it. I'd teach them my strategy, then tell'm to paper trade for a while. If they lose 1000's of fake $$$, who cares, and just maybe they'll appreciate the difficulty of our job.
