What is the Smartest thing you ever did Trading

The smartest thing was basically rewarding myself with something tangible that's meaningful from my first trading profit, so that it's ingrained in my head what trading is all about.

I agree, I still do this from time to time, especially after a period of losses. It really helps me to not mind the losses too much since I can still easily afford the stuff I want to buy with profits I've made earlier, usually when I do this it also seems to be that not much later the losing streak ends :D.

However I am not talking about buying Ferrari's or Lambos, that doesn't interest me and is still out of my range ;). I am talking about concert tickets, nice meals out, holidays, a new watch I have been looking at for a while, ...

And more important, be born and happens to start trading at the beginning of a raging bull market.

It is all luck. Imagine Bill Gates born 10 years earlier, he would have finished his study at Harvard and got a job like his father.

i got on the boat at the right time. Miami early 80‘s explosion kiddo. There was a sherif here up until late 70s I think. You could pull the boat right up to dinner key marina stacked to the rim :D

I overcame my greed and fixed the loss in time and did not let it grow, thereby saving the deposit. After that, having finalized my trading strategy and corrected some shortcomings in it, I was able to compensate for this loss with the next trade.
