what is a good 15" laptop to trade from

I am looking for a new 15" laptop and ideally a portable
small second screen for my order entry programe.

I dont need a 17" ... too heavy and it still will not accomodate everything..

Last machine was an HP presario which was better than a pile
of dog pooh but not quite good enough to be rated as a
poorly built laptop.

All inputs gratefully received.

If you're not looking to spend a lot, here's a great deal on a Compaq at BB:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8404158&st=c571nr&type=product&id=1180743304365

It's sold out online and most stores, but you can call & check, sale ends tomorrow. $449 for those specs is great. The Altec Lansings speakers are amazing too, never heard a laptop sound this great before.

If you want something better, the Dell Vostro line just came out, new Intel chipset and better video card for $599.

Wow, what is the margin on a computer for under $500 with dual core? Just crazy that only a couple of years ago a decent laptop was $1k.

f9,

Buddy!
I have the perfect pocket rocket for you if you want to spend the money. I have this one with a Matrox dualhead2go and a couple extra 14" collapsible monitors. It all fits in a single pilots case as a carry on when a travel. I've included the links.

Laptop:

Matrox DualHead2Go:

(You can find these on eBay too)

Monitors:

I've picked up a few of these monitors and use them basically as disposable.

Get a Dell workstation class Precision laptop from the Outlet for around $1k. You get 3-year enterprise grade warranty and North American based tech support.

That's a good idea, thanks.
