What is a "Dealer Desk" ???

Job opportunity asking experience on a prop desk, hedge fund, or "dealer desk."

I'm assuming this means Broker Dealer trading, but does anyone know for certain?

deal desk means that broker firm is a bucket shop

so that when an honest customer sends an order your way, you instead of completing the order you try to screw your customer by re quoting


and you never ever tell your customer that 95% lose because at your broker firm its all just a virtual reality game anyway

and 5% that starts to win is kicked out by other means and account closed

you do it by shuting down feed, by making HUGE reqotes etc ect

many ways
