Yes, but it had a great deal to do with igniting the final phase of the bubble. Therefore, again, anyone looking for a repeat of '98/'99 will be disappointed.
 
The comments here are respectable enough.

I like to think of it as a rug pull. At some point, the big $ manicuring the price gets tired, or finishes , or just plain decides to move the party to a different level.

If you're really good, you can sometimes smell such a move coming or see it's footprints just before it happens. The rest of you will think they just caught Saddie and Binnie having cappucino on the Riviera.
