Weird question... How much money do you need to open an e micro account?

I think your answers made them think that you are just here to pass your time and above that you don’t even have a job. It was better to say self employed rather than unemployed. It leaves a negative impression and above that you should have asked for the reason of saying no.
Or they might have thought that you won’t be able to continue with investing in different things since you don’t have a source of income.
But whatever it is. There are many more brokers too. You can try your luck with some other. But this time be careful with what you say.

I think I did say self employed. I emailed them a while back and asked why I didn't get approved and they never responded. After taking a month to get back to me with a no, and then not replying at all to my ask why, seems a bit peculiar.
