I going down the Web3/blockchain dev rabbit hole. Lot's of interesting projects and I am increasingly having recruiters reach out to me with Web3/blockchain opportunities on LinkedIn even though I currently have zero experience in the space.

I am half way through this course. So far so good. Once that is complete I am going to get familiar with Solana and then create a dApp which can interact with both Ethereum and Solana.

Tight! For an experienced developer getting into this space, do you have any suggestions in terms of good areas to focus on?

You'd have broader market appeal if you go with solidity and EVM chains than learning Rust for Sol.

Good point, but Rust is taking off as a language aside from Solana so it is good to know.

all free. download the tool sets, create test accounts/wallets, and play. Read various crypto news sites: cointelegraph, coindesk, decrypt. There are some frameworks that make the web3 stuff easier
