Watch Elon's satellites as a train slowly passing by

It is pretty fun to watch as 20-30 satellites pass by in the dark sky. It is called a train. The latest Starlink launch was on Friday and for the next 4-5 days around the same time you can see them for 2-3 minutes each night as they spread slowly apart from each other. Tonight we counted 21 just after 8:32 eastern time.

Check your location if you can see them. The launches are pretty frequent, so I think you should be able to see a train about twice a month if not more often, depending on your local weather and how big is your view of the sky.

A decade ago it was a real treat to catch a rare sighting of a satellite after sunset. Nowadays it's just a lame experience that amounts to annoying sky clutter for stargazers.
 
I watched the same train last night, the satellites were way more apart from each other. Not as impressive as 2 days earlier, but it was still cool.

I agree, one satellite alone is not particularly impressive. But 20 going in a row...

There is another launch today, so we may get to see those in the upcoming days.
