I have an idea

we can use technical tool to analyze the equity curve

if the equity curve break out the posthigh then we follow

sometimes I find the market has the characteristic that

the market will keep being trending or directionless for some time before it changes

so we can use equity curve to identify what market is now

maybe there r papers about this topic I do not know

I hope anyone who have interests in the topic to share it with me
