Trailing Stops?

So I am kinda confused when using a trailing stop sell order should I set it on the bid, ask, mark, last, avg price or bid/ask? Those are the options in the ThinkorSwim paper trading platform.

Depends if you are buying or selling.
Dont quibble over quarter + miss the move....[Edit, delayed quote,LOL. I have traded/invested in semi-liquid small caps, but for a trade, AIM @ stocks with high liquidity/tight bid/ask-if you had to you could could use a market order or good limit order]

In other words look @ both sides of trade; if you were a market market -would you work for nothing -NO, you would not work/make markets for nothing]Good question,GotheL
