When you have 90 cargo ships waiting to undock at the LA port in California and most go back empty, you know that the trade deficit will be horrible. Why are there supply shortages? Partially because we don't make anything here anymore.

With this 20%+ real inflation(not the fake 7% they say) it's probably a good idea we have such a large trade deficit. They get our worthless hyperinflated money and we get real goods. At least for now.

Like I said before, I would rather see Russia move closer to the US and further away from the CCP. If we push Russia away, they will align more closely with China.



I never claimed that there has not been an increase in violence against Asians in the US. I just pointed out that all crime is up thanks to horrible policy which by definition would include crime against Asians. Also that article is simply wrong by claiming "From 2019 to 2020, the overall hate crime rate declined". According to the FBI, hate crimes increased in 2020 relative to 2019. (https://www.justice.gov/crs/highlights/2020-hate-crimes-statistics). So criticize my sources all you want, but at least I don't go around posting fake news.

Also, the article intentionally left out the most relevant detail because it would have contradicted their "it's all driven by white nationalism / Trump narrative"...who is committing the hate crimes. You can find that data here:

Keep in mind that whites are about 75% of the population in the US including Hispanic whites. So whites are not committing hate crimes at a higher rate relative to their percentage of the population. While no country is perfect and slavery was by far the biggest mistake in US history, today, the demand for racial oppression in the US far exceeds the supply and many feel the need to manufacture it. I wonder how many cases of Jussie Smollett are in that data.

According to this offender data for 2020, Blacks committed hate crimes at 1.44 times the rate that whites committed hate crimes. This is based on total population of 329.5 x E6 of which 57 % are white non-Hispanic and 12.1% are Black. I used the offender data that you showed for 2020 also found at justice.gov

In other words, according to this law enforcement data, blacks are a little more likely to commit hate crimes than whites. (The data is from law enforcement agencies. It may not be reliable because law enforcement funding depends on the data these agencies collect. Law enforcement funding should be independent of justice system revenues; sadly, it is not.
