The Ultimate Trading Platform...what would it look like?

Nice spec's.....to build a system like that will take $$$ and years of time...
What would be the "ultimate-price" for the users be?

I know traders who did that (leave IB and ButtonTrader) and went for another Broker with TM...But after 6 months the came back...
When I asked the reason they told me: "costs and functionality"..
