A few reasons why "everyone hates us":
-Too much military influence on foreign soil. We've got bases all over the world (even on "enemy" soil in Cuba, how ironic). Imagine how we in the US would feel if Germany or Brazil or China had military bases here in the US. It takes away a peice of their sovereignty. Why in the world do we still have a military base in Germany? The Cold War was over 10 years ago. Can't the Germans defend themselves? The EU has an economy just as big as we do. It's ridiculous.
-Unilateral foreign policies. The Kyoto protocol. Our constant disagreements with the UN. The international criminal court. Iraq. Protectionist trade policies. Missile defense. Etc.
-A perception of Americans caring only about themselves. What got more coverage. The worst floods in Europe in ages or who's going to be the winner on "American Idol"? How many Americans know who the Prime Minister of Canada is?
-A culture of loose morals, materialism (look at any rap video), excess, a declining family, etc.
-Being the lone superpower in the world, people will complain about you no matter what.
