Surprised I haven't seen much mention of today's 20th anniversary here, but just wanted to take a moment to thank all the first-responders and military folk both active and retired for their service. Even if one of you is an asshole that has me on ignore, or if we butted heads here in the past. That pales in comparison to the sacrifices you have made and continue to make so we can have these conversations. Loggerheads or not.

This was a big fucking day in history 20 years ago. Thank you.

Hmmprh. I guess 9/11 is just passe' now. Just a table-top conversation piece.

At least some of us will not forget, unlike the majority of people here who simply do not give a shit and do not respect what the fuck-all that all was.
 
Slightly off topic news, but every 2 days we have the same 9/11 number of dead due to a preventable virus. So it s all just numbers now...

Can't believe there were no any commemorative events to mark this anniversary except that pathetic withdraw from Afghanistan that allowed the Taliban to retake Afghanistan in 9 days. That was such an insult to what happened on that day 20 years ago. We went into war against the Taliban because of Sept/11 and 20 years later, we didn't make any difference.
