Now that I've had some time to experiment with it, I just gotta say how much improved the new active trader is over tos, and also, there is no minimum 25k because in Canada we have no PDT rules. Better charts. Cleaner. It's pretty much an updated version of tos which I always said was needed.

Are you sure? I tried it few months ago its like a webpage trading, I can't even call it a platform then I switched to Multichart for charting. Did TD canda done any upgrade since?

Not sure what kind of charting you could ever do on TOS. At least now we have tradingview style charts which are the best. I only ever have one chart open per monitor, split screen with the active trader or Ladder as its called now. With a 4 monitor system its plenty of room. I mean what's the point of having a chart open without the ladder?

What??? How can you compare multi charts to the trading view platform. That thing looks straight up out of the 80's.
Last time I tried the active trader by TD, continues contract is not available, no option to only see RTH chart, and Back-adjusted option. So chart are not customizable like before. not sure what universe you are in but in NO way is ActiveTrader an improvement over TOS... from being able to generate reports to scripting to searches...on so many levels... platform has a long way to go to be comparable to TOS... I used TOS for 20 years and miss it everyday... that is not to say it was perfect but with AT I have one hand tied behind my back

The charts are better. Everything else is basically the same...I have used both.
