Medical recruiting is nothing out of the ordinary. Most practices and hospitals use recruiting firms to outsource that function and since there is a shortage of doctors out there, they don't mind paying 25k fees for a recruiter to help them bring in docs to their area. I've been doing it for 1 year now and it can be quite lucrative. I would rather just work on my own and get all the fees, instead of just 35% like at my current firm.
