I would pay a 10-15% premium for an energy-efficient house built with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) due to its significant energy savings and soundproofing benefits. Unfortunately, in the US, such a home might cost a 200% premium because of concrete shortages and the need for custom builds. It's frustrating that we export a third of our concrete to China.
