I got it. All I was really asking is if there was a premium difference between exchanging monies at a local bank, or doing it at CDG in Paris. I got my answers. Thank you.
The local bank in the U.S., particularly BofA, will always screw you on the exchange rate. And they're clueless about how to do it, so you have to waste 15 minutes while they fumble around acting like you're doing something crazy exotic just to get some Euros. BofA does have partner banks in Europe that charge no ATM fee, but even if they do charge a fee just do a big transaction and it's not too bad. In my experience you're always better off using an ATM at a bank in the country you're going to. Transferwise, now Wise, is also generally the best choice regardless of your bank.
