I ran 98 (buggy first edition) with a PCI NIC, PCI and AGP video cards, PCI modem and PCI sound. No problems, other than the OS kept switching back to having the PCI video as my main monitor.

I do seem to recall doing some IRQ twiddling. It was kind of nostalgic .
