Prop Trading firm legit? (really need help)

Hi guys, my first post. As the title suggest, I really really need some help and you guys and shoot me with brutal answers. Thanks so much in advance, I truly appreciate it.

So, i've interviewed with a prop trading firm in Singapore for their trader trainee position few days ago. I was told by the MD/guy in charge that he will hire me and would be meeting with HR next week for the details. (expected salary was around 2.5k USD i was told)

A brief intro about myself.
1 Graduated from University of Chicago (a reputable school) with a economics degree.
2 Dunno much/very little about trading. (Some would be wondering why they would hire me, i guess i did very well in all their tests and answer the basic technical questions correctly , but that again is not important)

Some info about this firm
1 Its a local firm that use spread betting /pair tradings for futures and commodities in the asia market.
2 Staff = 20, i think around 6/7 traders? (not sure but that would be my estimation from what i saw)
3 This firm started since 2005 (too new?)
4 The owner worked at optiver, a market making firm, for 10 years.

So here are my questions (very stupid questions i know, but please do help, i really appreciate it)
1 Is pair tradings different from market making? Is market making firms bigger/better/more legit?
2 From the profile of this company, does it seem like a legit firm? What is the difference between being a trader assistant here or SIG? I mean how huge is the difference?
3 Is it a good fit for me, meaning people with my background? Because a lot of my colleauge seem to go into BB, some even into Sales and trading department. Is this a big "Step down"?
4 In short, do people think this is a good opportunity for a fresh grad?

I know i might come across as naive and stupid from the questions I've asked and some probably dun think I should be a trader at all, but regardless, i still really hope I would know more. Thanks so so much in advance.

cheers
