well, since everybody is so concerned here about getting credit
for their threads - let me give myself 2 credits about threads I posted HERE 2 days ago when I said
sold PD short at 89.33 --- just covered at 84.44 ---
and sell a move above 42 in amzn
sold amzn at 43.30 and just covered at 41.81

I did not bash "PeterKiefer" as you say.
I merely pointed out that PD trades as a proxy to copper and that equity analysts have NOTHING TO DO with the supply/demand dynamics of Copper.

Furthermore, several others on the thread told him to be careful with shorting PD due to the fact that commodities can TREND for an awful long time!

If you understood the markets at all, the dramatic rise in the dollar over the past 2 days has obviously caused the metals complex to take a breather . . . And it has also caved the bond market in as well, which has lead to the sell-off in the S&P.

I suggest that you put the book, Market Wizards away for awhile and pick up "Technical Analysis of Stock Trends" by Magee and Edwards.
 
don't you think people here know - especially the ones that
trade PD -- that 1. commodities can trend for a long time
2. supply / demand factors are a seperate issue concerning
stock analysts opinion --- let me correct that ---
most analyst would be out on the street if they would not be able to incl. in their pred. / estimate on where the underlying commodity would trend to . My remark that about 95%
of the street was bullish on PD/ COPPER!!!! should everyone alert that a surprise on the downside is waiting to happen.

Do you believe that most people here know less than you about
the market their trading in ????

it is hard enough to be right on the mkts. most of the time why
bother with EGOS !!!!!!!!!

Apparently, there were a few "others" that voiced their "concerns" on the thread as well such as Illiquid and EasyGuru. But I guess you fail to mention that, eh?
