OT: getting rid of spyware

I'm running 98se, that seldom gives me any problems.

I'm using *freesurfer* a 'freeware' popup blocker that I downloaded from a website called www.tucows.com - I had to do a bit of searching around the site for awhile to find it. There are a fair amount of downloads there - mostly shareware, but some pretty good 'free-ware' stuff as well.

*blackice* as a firewall (or whatever you want to call it.)

*nortons anti-virus*

Adaware 6.0 (free version) from www.lavasoftusa.com

I delete my temp. internet files and cookies about every other day.

I really can't say what all is stopping what all...lol....but I don't seem to have the problems described previously in this thread.

Does Pop Up Stopper block all pop ups? There are a few pop ups that wanted such as email address books. I need a pop up blocker that can allow certain sites to have them.
 
It does seem to allow the ones I want in non-agressive mode but you always know when one is blocked. Also simply hitting control will bypass it.
