Oslo stock exchange (OSE) with IB and other brokers

I noticed whereas IB offers live market data from OSE, they don't allow trading on the exchange, which seems weird. Is it a limitation depending on an entity location or the same for all IB traders ?
Nasdaq omx seems to be a lower volume alternative for some tickers but others have zero volume nor bid on OMXNO while they trade half actively on OSE.
Did I miss something ? What retail brokerage -open to offshore traders- guys trading regulary on scandinavian exchanges use ? I guess Saxo is the most famous but besides the poor conditions, they seem to be fragile since the EURCHF

Being a Norwegian resident I'm more curious about what you're looking to trade and what type of trading you intend on doing?

I, myself, have used Nordnet and prior to that my local bank for my trading on OSE.

Perhaps you could open an account with Nordnet?
 
I have tried to ask IB about trading Oslo stocks on the OTC OMX exchange. Basically there are no market makers and there will be no bid/asks if something goes wrong. I wanted to trade AVANCE that pays more than 50% anual dividend that is actually sustainable from my view of LPG shipping situation. I buy AVACF at Fidelity with the ridiculous $50 foreign stock fee.

I've checked Nordea and it seems their retail website is only in Norwegian, which doesn't seem very non norwegian traders friendly.

The institutional website is also in English but it seems they offer full brokerage service for scandinavian entities only, and subcustody services for outside institutions.

I'd be more interested in a broker offering those markets including a few more, is there any besides Saxo and CFD providers ?

Besides I'm keen on adding longer term position in Norway as i like to spread my assets through several markets, as well as trading specific names depending on the moment's inspiration/market.

Some stocks on OMX have ZERO bid and ask even when the market is quiet and a quick check showed that even placing a bid on OMX at OSE asking price won't result in a quick trade.That's what happens when there is no market maker I guess and it doesn't look good.

Also whereas the OMX listed stock should be valued at OSE prices (they are priced in such a way on OMX at least ) i'm afraid IB's system gets nasty and takes into account the fact there is no bid to calculate the value at zero, which is worrying considering IB's autoliquidation.

Anyone here has experience trading OMX stocks ?

Netfonds might make it somewhat easier for you.

I see thread is old. Time to revive it.

Having the same problems with IB still. Can you recommend a broker that lets you trade on OSE main exchange (not OMXNO) and that ia available to UK citizens? Just ordinary stocks /shares, NOT CFDs?
I'm aware of the following :

Saxo Bank - yes, but insane, crazy currency conversion fees of 0.75% each way per trade.
DeGiro - yes, bad reputation and no longer accepting UK citizens.
Nordnet - yes. Would be perfect, not sure if open to UK people?
BUX - similar to Nordnet but is it CFDs only?
Tradestation and Lynx - no good, same as IB, literally.
Pareto Securities - can't find much info
LHV.ee - yes, but very expensive brokerage.
Exante - sadly, yes, but very very few selected stocks available on OSE, stupidly strict requirements, anyway. Dubious reputation.

Are there any others?
