In my opinion, the closing of 2024 was much less controversial than the opening. I loved the Tom Cruise segment, it was really cool to see him among the athletes. Anyway, I hope conditions permit Russia being in again (I hope for Milan in 2026). FWIW, I'm not sure that I agree with them being excluded, since a major Olympic objective is to avoid politics.
