Odd lots

I am looking at Interactive Brokers commission and fee schedule. It looks like I could diversify in a really small account. I would have to have small positions in a few issues. The question is, how are these odd lot orders going to get treated? Will I get reasonable fills on a few shares of a $2 issue for example?

Thats what i do. IB allows us small players to trade like the big boys in terms of money management/risk control etc.

Can you set up limit orders for odd lots on NYSE stocks? Or are they only handled as market orders?

One share or 100, doesn't seem to be a difference.

My understanding is that IB will not allow you to buy in lots less than 100 on the NYSE, you can only sell in odd lots on the NYSE. I have not traded odd lots but this is what i remember reading at IB.

Good luck

Thats the way it used to be but it changed. Just this week I bought 60 shares of CC.
