I was reading this weekend and had a question as it didn't mention this. Let's say if I buy to open and than sell to close, am I done with that option contract and just take the profit, or is there anything else that buyer can do? Really appreciate your help. I started reading the book McMillan On Options, it's really good! Thanks for recommending it.
more often than not, you will buy to open and than sell to close, and yes you are done with that option contract and just lick the wound and count the loss. (don't meant to be a downer, but this is just hard reality of life.)
which brings us to another topic... you can make 10 trades, lose 6~7 trades, and still comes out ahead. It is all in your money management.
