Nancy Pelosi Urges Support Of $50 Billion 'CHIPS' Bill Hours After Disclosing $8 Million Nvidia Stak

Pelosi has zero influence on the Senate, she's the House whip. You're thinking McConnell, though he's the most influential politician in DC, not just the Senate.

You're right. I was thinking Pelosi was senate, but she's actually in the house. But with Dem majority in both houses, seems that Pelosi would be more influential at this point than McConnell. Manchin probably has the most overall power, although not influence, in the legislative branch right now.

Manchin and Sinema are just republican moles but both parties are deep in with tech so this bill has a lot of support from both parties (which makes its passage an easy guess and not that controversial if Pelosi's asset handlers (or anyone) bet on it).

If the passage was easy, it would have already passed. Manchin has been a Dem for decades. The party simply moved much further to the left than he did over that time. Any politician can't be too far left or right relative to the population that they represent or they will lose power.

Oh, Nvda up hard today...what a coincidence:

We already passed the COMPETES act earlier this year and the USICA act last year. Congress has been passing tech corporate welfare at break neck speed.

And yes, the Overton window moved into fascist territory, making Bernie look like a 90's moderate.
