One of the best features in MT4 is the menu “File>Exit”, it closes the MT4 platform and then forex traders cannot trade which saves them lots of money. 
On a serious note, I’m not a fan of MT4 for charting, but I use MT4 for order execution because you can buy various EAs for MT4 which can make the order entry, position sizing and order management a very easy.
