I own 2 Nomad Jukeboxes. One I have kept running in my car 24/7 for well in excess of a year through a cigarette adapter with no problems. I keep it running because I didn't want to start up and shut down every time I got in the car. The other I use daily when I use an exercise machine. I recently bought a Nomad Zen for my daughter. I highly recommend Creative Labs line of mp3 players. Good luck.
