Never even would have watched this movie if my date didnt make me, but was pleasantly surprised, cool concept for people who like movies that make you think.

Don't know if any of you are True Detective fans, but last night, episode 4, closed with a hell of a gun battle scene. It was right on par with the scene from the movie Heat.
I liked season 1 much better, but it's still pretty entertaining.

Still waiting for the second season to end so I can watch all the episodes in succession...The first season was brilliant; fantastic writing, plot lines and acting.

True Detective is a long ways from idolizing hero cops. Much more of a everyone has their dirty little secrets and not so righteous motives. Everyone has some dirt on them. It's one of the more entertaining series on television. HBO has done a good job with it.
