In lieu of earnings and other major news, volume drops significantly for most stocks after the close of the day session. Otherwise, you'll merely have a dull sleepy market, no different than what's currently happening in the extended market hours.

Well, they want 24/7 market like Bitcoin. But currently the extended market activities are like "zzzzzzzzzzzzzz". So what would be the point of stretching that out further?

But if you make our markets, especially stocks, internationally accessible (currently it's a real pain in the ass from what I know) so that they can be traded locally (ie. their time zone), there would be more interest. I mean who wants to trade 2 o'clock in the friggin' morning (and I know there are some weird abnormal Asian traders here :))???
