LinkedIn groups for traders

I see a lot of LinkedIn groups for algo traders, seems like HFT is the big thing in finance nowadays, perhaps a sign of the times .
But if so many people want to move into that type of trading what does it tell you about its future and that of the market ?
Anyone taking part in one of these groups on LNKD ?
 
Don't believe hft is for the average trader anytime soon.
