Link some text to a web page - I can't get it to work

How does the Link some text to a web page feature work? That would be the 9th icon from the left in the reply box. It doesn't give me a chance to enter some text, all it does is add the full URL into the posted message.


EDIT: I figured it out:

1. In the reply box enter the text.
2. Select the text.
3. Click on the Link some text to a web page icon.
4. Enter the URL.
5. Insert.

Correct. It works just like MS Word or any other text editor.

Not always. Occasionally, trying to create the link in the Reply box doesn't "take". Rather one must go ahead and post the reply, then edit the reply by creating the link in the post.

This may be a browser issue.

Or it may be a temporary disruption in The Force.
