I graduated recently from UT Austin in May and have a BA in Economics. While searching for jobs in Houston, I've seen quite a few energy trading opportunities. However, it doesn't seem to be possible for me to dive right in without any previous energy experience. Any tips on how to get into the field? Have also checked out a thread about energy trader vs. energy scheduler and noticed a lot of people agreed that scheduling could be a great way to get into trading. But same issue: how do you get into the field coming out of college and looking for entry-level?
