Is there any prop firms in UK/Ireland that still back traders with the firms capital?

Hi,

I have worked in Prop Trading since late 2004 , firstly as a backed trader through a London firm and more recently by backing myself. I had great success when backed but have struggled while backing myself.

Are there any prop firms in UK/Ireland that still actively back traders with the firms capital ?

Can't answer your question, but i am intrigued to know why you had great success when backed by others but not when you presumably traded your own money?

No firm is going to let you trade with no money up. This has been discussed here a thousand times. If someone says there is one then it is a scam where they make you pay for their "education" first and then let you lose a small portion of the money you just paid.

You're misinformed. There are a few. Depends what type of trading,

I had great success when backed but have struggled while backing myself.

There could be numerous reasons for this. Doesn't make the person a failed trader who's not worth backing. Only takes some time to assess if there's opportunity for both parties.

There is a proprietary futures trading firm called Positive Equity located in Dublin.
They also recruit trainees.

There are couple of firms in Dublin that would back you with firms capital. Already mentioned Positive Equity, Myriad trading, Geneva trading.
