While I agree seems completely unnecessary, some of those drivers driving alone might be Uber/Lyft drivers without passengers ATM. And yes they could take them off when no one is in vehicle with them and open windows for a few minutes. Could just be a habit or why bother attitude.

The statistics are that they killed over 1000 people. I wouldn't be at all surprised if most of them were black, and I would guess that's an accurately known figure.. But I wonder, do we know the number of these "victims" that were unarmed? What about the number killed that were armed? Is it broken down in to what type of weapon, hand gun, pen knife, etc. And if they were armed where was the weapon when they were shot: in a hand pointed at a cop, in a hand raised overhead while the victim shouted "don't shoot", in a glove compartment, in a coat pocket etc.? And how many were shot in the back while running from police, how many times were they shot etc.? All of this makes a huge difference!!! Just the number shot by itself doesn't tell us much.
