IB problems

Quote from MiamiHurricanes:

I need to confirm, but isn't it the case that all stops/limits stay resident with IB's systems. Once tripped, they get sent out. That to me is insane, because it should result in significant slippage every time...

But they're done on a fill or kill basis. So what it results in is not just slippage but the occasional failure to execute.

So one has to compensate by using Stop Limits for entry and exit.

BTW, That's good news, Golf.

Not really good news

It was an entry order so she should have been long in the 40`s,
now there is no position.

it was a SL, $/cad is way to messy after news on IB. There is
no liquidity on IB.

IB cancelled the trade but it took away a good idea that
should have been filled in the1.1140`s.
