IB login problem

i cannot get into IB. tws does not log on,
demo does not work, cannot ping at
gw1.ibllc.com.

anybody else having problems ??

What's funny is I build a new AMD 1900+ system.
I was running Windows 2000 and it worked fine.
I upgrade to Windows XP, installed JRE 1.4 and
the latest TWS.

Now when I login, the machine reboots after
I enter the login and password and hit the Login button.
Might just use my old machine for TWS and new machine
for charts.

Anyone run into this same problem? Rebooting right
after your hit the Login button?

I had this exact problem. I had to replace the nic (I can't remember what brand) with a 3-com. Everything was great then. IB has a list of NIC's that work I think. I know it doesn't make sense, but this seems to be a somewhat common problem. Good luck.
