IB - 1099 info for futures: commissions included?

well, you could read what they told me to say that but they never actually answered my question directly. In tax matters I prefer not to have to guess and I get suspicious when a dead simple question gets a tangential reply. I plan on filing that way, so at least we'll all be in the same boat.

Hopefully you subtracted your commision costs from the
realized gain/loss figure before putting it on line one of your
6781 form. Otherwise you are paying more for your taxes this
year. I have talked to a tax accountant and this is what he has
advised me to do. Don't take my word for it though, talk to
a professional tax accountant.
