I recommend interactive brokers

commissions are great

I like their TWS interface

get to trade everything possible at some of the lowest commissions for retail.

Their customer service isn't good though, but I never call them anyway, but if I did hmm... I'd probably be dead meat

If you need to ''research'' for a broker, then you have no trading experience just put your money in some mutual fund and forget about any ''trading''. Things are not good for newbies at this time despite what fools like Cramer and others say.
