How to safely store many alt coins?

I dont want to keep them in an exchange because of hacking risk, hardware wallets dont support them (because they are not one of the majors). The Coinomi app supports many coins but not all of the ones I want. What to do?

Yes, but how to generate a new wallett address? Most of the paper wallet generators don't have the coins I want to hold

Download the software wallet on the old laptop. Transfer coin to the software wallet. Disconnect from internet.

Alternatively install wallet software on a portable ssd. Transfer coin. Disconnect ssd.
