Through deep digging and unorthodox research, I have found a public video clip of a multiple members of the board of a publicly traded Fortune 500 company saying horrific things that would get them canceled and fired. A very, very similar past incident cost the company billions in market cap and in revenue. I believe this previous financial loss is a fair proxy for the value destruction this sensational media clip would cause. This public media clip would result in a second failed attempt of obvious due diligence by the company and would result in major resignations, a hurt customer base, and the financial abandonment of the company by the investor class.
As a retail investor, my upside on this trade is pretty limited compared to the massive negative hit the public company’s market cap value and sales. Because of this dynamic, I would like to explore other options for this trade. Some questions I have are:

- Could such publicly available and currently unnoticed media be legally actionable from an investment standpoint by a hedge fund?
- With the help of a financial lawyer, could I potentially contact major investors in the Fortune 500 public company and warn them about the potential impeding market cap value and be paid for this?
- Has anyone ever tried any ideas similar to this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle?
