True, but the credit card company has to pay.

Using you example you are asking that the crook RETURNS the computer to the store in order that the store keeps its computer.

Once you buy shares there is no retuning them (unless the transaction is illegal *at the exchange*. In this case it was a legal trade. The illegal part was in your computer.
It is only your problem.
